Accessing the Website

With the exception of the enquiry form, this website does not store or capture personal information, but merely logs the user’s IP address (Internet Protocol: standard allowing data to be transmitted between two devices) which is automatically recognised by the web server.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to keep track of your browser session, otherwise, it does not collect any personal information about you except that required for system administration of the website or cookies through third party websites (Google Analytics for visitor behaviour).

Cookies are pieces of data created when you visit a site, and contain a unique, anonymous number. Email enquiry form

The email enquiry form requires you to provide your contact details: either an email, address or telephone number. These details will be forwarded to JayaDance by plain text email for the sole purpose of answering your enquiry.

We will obtain personal information (about yourself and about other individuals involved in or relating to your enquiry) direct from you to help us provide you with the information you have asked us for.

We ask for information such as names and contact details so that we can communicate with you.

3.2    To provide you with information about our business and the services we offer including relevant communications and to help us improve our business and the services we offer.

We will retain details about the services or business you specifically request and personal information in connection with details of your visits to our website, including your internet protocol (IP) address, to enable us to develop our business and the services we provide. We will use this to monitor and improve our services, to help us manage our products and services whilst also to inform you of relevant services and events if you are subscribed to these services.

Lawful basis: – This is necessary to enable us to properly administer and perform any contract for the provision of any services and products you have purchased from us.

 4.3 – Purpose: – To send you information which is included within your workshop/s, including details about events.

 4.4 – Purpose: – To send you other marketing information we think you might find useful or which you have requested from us, including our newsletters

 4.5 – Purpose: – Retention of records
Personal information used: – All the personal information we collect.
Lawful basis: – We have a legitimate interest in retaining records whilst they may be required in relation to complaints or claims. We need to retain records in order to properly administer and manage your contract and in some cases we may have legal or regulatory obligations to retain records.

4.6 – Purpose: – The security of our IT systems
Personal information used: – Your usage of our IT systems and online portals.
Lawful basis: – We have a legitimate interest to ensure that our IT systems and website are secure.

4.7 – Purpose: – To conduct data analytics studies to better understand event attendance
Personal information used: – Records of your attendance at any events hosted by us.
Lawful basis: – We have a legitimate interest in doing so to ensure that we have a record of your attendance in case of fire procedures on site.

Personal information used: – Images in video and/or photographic form.

We have a legal obligation and a legitimate interest to provide you and other members of our organisation with a safe environment in which to participate in dance.

4.10 – Purpose: – To administer your attendance at any courses or programmes you sign up to.
Personal information used: – All contact details and payment data.
Lawful basis: – This is necessary to enable us to register you on to and properly manage and administer your attendance on the course and/or programme.

4.11 – Purpose: – To gather evidence for possible grievance or disciplinary hearings.
Personal information used: – All the personal information we collect
Lawful basis: – We have a legitimate interest in doing so to provide a safe and fair environment for all members and to ensure the effective management of any disciplinary hearings, appeals and adjudications.

 

5. Other information about your personal information

We only keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to carry out our services for your ongoing requirements.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to us or email us at info@jayadance.com.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to us or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

6. Your rights and how to contact us or complain

You have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • The right to ask us to update and correct any out of date or incorrect personal information that we hold about you, free of charge;
  • The right to ask us to delete and destroy any personal information where our continued retention of that data is causing damage or distress;
